BritPulse Reaches First Processing Milestone

BritPulse Reaches First Processing Milestone

BritPulse has passed its first major processing milestone, producing and delivering more than 500 tonnes of FabaPro® since commercial production began in June.

The milestone marks an early step in the development of BritPulse as a British feed ingredient business, moving from research and product development into regular commercial production and supply.

FabaPro® is produced from British-grown beans and is designed for use in commercial livestock feed. Processing increases protein concentration while reducing fibre and tannins, creating a more consistent ingredient for feed formulation.

Since production started, the focus has been on building operating experience, maintaining product specification and supplying customers while continuing the wider programme of commercial trials and product development.

Passing 500 tonnes provides useful production and supply-chain experience as BritPulse builds towards larger volumes. It also gives the team further data on processing performance, raw material quality, logistics and customer requirements.

The current production facility provides BritPulse with the ability to manufacture FabaPro® at commercial scale while the business develops its grower supply base and expands customer demand.

BritPulse is continuing to work with farmers, feed businesses and livestock producers to increase the role British-grown beans can play within the UK feed protein supply.

Further production is planned through the remainder of 2026 as BritPulse continues to build commercial experience and develop the evidence needed to support future growth.
